Hyptor records what products claim and what evidence exists for it. This page says what we change, what we don’t, and how to ask.
Corrections
- A factual error (a misquoted claim, a wrong date, a wrong price, a mis-cited source) is corrected within 48 hours of being verified.
- Every correction is logged on the page it concerns, with the date and what changed. We do not silently edit.
- If a correction changes a grade or a verdict, the new one is shown with the old one struck through in the change log.
- Anyone can report an error through the contact page. Reports with a source are acted on fastest.
What we will not remove
- A claim record, because a vendor asks. The record exists to show what was said and when.
- An archived copy of a public page.
- A grade or verdict, in exchange for anything.
If a vendor changes or removes a claim on its own site, that becomes a dated change event on the record. That is the system working as intended, not a reason to delete history.
What we will remove
- Personal data that is not part of a marketing claim.
- Material that was not public at the time we captured it.
- Anything a court orders us to remove.
Right of reply
Before we publish a grade of D (no independent evidence found) or a verdict of Overstated or Doesn’t hold, we email the vendor’s press or support contact with the exact claim, our finding and our sources, and invite a response within five working days. Substantive responses are published on the record, unedited or summarised with a link to the full text. Responses that show a factual error trigger a correction under the rules above. Vendors do not see pages before publication and cannot approve or edit them.
How we word things
Changes are described as facts with dates (“removed 15 Oct 2026”), never with a motive. A claim with no evidence behind it is written as “no independent evidence found as of [date]”, not as false. Opinion is labelled “Our take” and kept out of the record fields.
