Hyptor keeps a record of what AI and software products claim they can do, quoted word for word, archived, dated, and graded by the evidence that exists for each claim.
Every week, new tools launch with claims like “10x faster”, “99% accurate” and “replaces your whole team”. Most coverage repeats those claims. We write them down, find out what proof exists, label each one on a fixed scale, and log what changes when the vendor changes its page.
Where we are, October 2026
The posts published so far are evidence reviews: the vendors’ claims checked against published studies, official documents and the vendors’ own pages. They are not hands-on tests, and each one says so at the top. Hyptor Lab’s first hands-on test, an AI detector accuracy index, is pre-registered here before it runs. When a post is based on a Hyptor Lab test, it will say “Tested by Hyptor Lab” and link to the method.
Who we are
Work is published under one name, Hyptor Lab, so that it stands on its method and evidence rather than on a personality. Every post follows the same published protocol, quotes claims word for word, and keeps its sources and archive links on the page.
What we do
- Quote a product’s specific claims exactly, with the source and an archived copy.
- Grade each claim by the evidence that exists for it, from independent replicated studies down to “no substantiation found”.
- Run hands-on tests where they are feasible and link-worthy, with the method published before the test.
- Date everything and log every change, including our own corrections.
What we don’t do
- Accept payment for coverage, grades or verdicts.
- Let vendors preview, approve or edit anything before publication.
- Describe desk research as testing. If we didn’t run it, the post says so.
- Publish “best of” lists of tools we haven’t examined claim by claim.
Vendors: right of reply
If we grade one of your claims as having no independent evidence, or rate it Overstated or Doesn’t hold, we contact you and invite a response within five working days. Factual corrections are made and logged; substantive responses are published alongside the record. Our corrections and removals policy explains what we change and what we don’t.
Site history
Before October 2026 this domain published general-interest and current-affairs articles. That content has been retired and its addresses redirect here. Hyptor now does one thing.
